JDT moves up to third in the league standings after they demolished Melaka United 7-0 at Tan Sri Hj. Hassan Yunos Stadium on Sunday night. The hapless Melaka side conceded four in the first half before another three goals breached their goal in the second half. The result also made Melaka now the team that has conceded the most goals in the league thus far - with 21 goals.

Gabriel Guerra opened the scoring in the 6th minute before Safiq Rahim (17'), Amirulhadi Zainal (22') and Gonzalo Cabrera (33') added to the tally in the first half. Azamuddin Akil scored the fourth just a minute inside the second half but it was to be the Safiq-show. The midfield general completed his hat-trick with strikes in the 58th and 87th minute and deservedly takes home the match ball.

After nine attempts, Penang finally achieved their first league victory of the season. In Zainal Abidin Hassan's first official game in charge, he guided the Panthers to break their winless hoodoo after defeating Felda United 1-0 at Tun Abdul Razak Stadium on Sunday night. Penang are still last in the table despite their win but are only two points behind Sarawak.

Zainal has S. Kumaahran to thank after the youngster reacted quickest to pounce home the rebound in the 79th minute of the match. Penang's defence held strong and despite losing Mafry Balang in the 85th minute due to red card, they managed to maintain their resoluteness to shut out Felda.
