Bundesliga Betting Predictions | 1 Bundesliga Preseason Bet Tips

German powerhouse Bayern Munich has been crowned the Bundesliga champion for the last ten seasons. However, the perennial favorite has undergone immense changes this offseason, leaving the door open for a new contender to challenge for the championship.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig will again be in contention at the top of the table, with Bayer Leverkusen still looking to make their next step into a legitimate title threat.

Eintracht Frankfurt enters the season as the reigning Europa League titleholders, having gone undefeated during their championship run, hoping to turn that momentum into success in the Bundesliga.

Most believe that the Bundesliga is merely a race to who will finish in second place to Bayern. However, there is still plenty of excitement in a league that boasts the highest goals-per-game average among Europe's top five leagues in four of the last five seasons.

Let’s look at current betting lines to find the most intriguing best bets and props for this year’s Bundesliga campaign.

  • Werder Bremen (+50000)

  • FSV Mainz (+75000)

  • FC Augsburg (+100000)

  • VfL Bochum (+100000)

Bayern Munich enters the season as a massive favorite to win their 11th straight Bundesliga title.

Meanwhile, in the eyes of most sportsbooks, the battle for second place looks to be a two-horse race once again between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

There is little value in betting on a league winner or a Top 4 Finish due to lackluster payout potential.

That said, the best path to profit will likely be a “Winner Without Bayern Munich” wager, where Borussia Dortmund (-110) and RB Leipzig (+200) have reasonable odds.

Bundesliga Favorite To Win

Bayern Munich (-500)

As mentioned above, the Bavarian powerhouse has won the last 10 consecutive Bundesliga titles. The last time a different club held the championship was in 2011-12 when Borussia Dortmund, managed by JürgenKlopp, raised the trophy.

Last season Bayern averaged an incredible 2.85 goals per game, for a total of 97, led by Golden Boot winner RobertLewandowski. Unfortunately, the Polish superstar left during the offseason to join La Liga giants FC Barcelona.

Taking Lewandowski’s place this season will be African Footballer of the Year, and Liverpool great, SadioMané. The versatile forward was a key component to the modern dominance of Liverpool in the Premier League, and he will look to continue his legacy by conquering the Bundesliga.

Joining Mané at Bayern Munich this season will be center back MatthijsdeLigt, who joined the club on an €80 million transfer from Juventus, and midfielder RyanGravenberch (Ajax).

Manager JulianNagelsmann will have to make adjustments given the significant changes on the Bayern roster, but there is little doubt that the SterndesSüdens will end the season at the top of the table.

Bundesliga Championship Contenders

Borussia Dortmund (+800)

Edin Terzic will be in for a challenging season following the offseason departure of their star striker ErlingHaaland (Manchester City).

The Norwegian scoring machine left a massive hole in the Borussia Dortmund attack, with former Ajax forward SebastienHaller tasked with taking over for Haaland.

Haller will join center forward KarimAdeyemi, who joined BVB from RB Salzburgthisoffseason, in revamping Terzic’s offense.

The Black and Yellows have finished as the Bundesliga runner-up in three of the previous four seasons and are still the most likely threat to Bayern’s reign as champion.

RB Leipzig (+1200)

RB Leipzig has earned four Top-3 finishes in their previous six seasons in the Bundesliga, including a runner-up performance in 2020-21.

The Red Bulls posted a strong turnaround under manager Domenico Tedesco last season, who replaced JesseMarsch in December. Leipzig lost just four of their final 20 matches under Tedesco.

There have been no noteworthy additions to the Leipzig roster during the transfer window, but the club did lose defensive midfielder and USMNT stand out, TylerAdams, to Leeds United.

Leipzig did manage to extend the contract of their star attacker ChristopherNkunku, who tallied 35 goals and 19 assists last season for the Red Bulls.

If Tedesco’s club is going to make a run at the Bundesliga title, Nkunku will need a Golden Boot-worthy performance to get them there.

Bundesliga Sleeper Picks To Win

Bayer Leverkusen (+1600)

Winners of 11 of their final 16 matches, Bayer Leverkusen, is an often overlooked club in the Bundesliga. Unfortunately, they have secured just three Top-3 finishes since their second-place effort in 2010-11.

The Company’s Eleven is led by center forward and Golden Boot favorite PatrikSchick. The 26-year-old scored 24 goals across 27 league matches last season, finishing second to Robert Lewandowski despite being sidelined for several weeks with a calf injury.

AdamHložek, 19,will join Schick in the Leverkusen attack after being acquired from Sparta Prague during the transfer window. The versatile forward can play all over the pitch and is an ideal fit for GerardoSeoane’s 4-2-3-1 formation.

If Bayer Leverkusen is to improve on their third-place finish from a season ago, they will need solid production out of Schick, Hložek,and MoussaDiaby.

Bundesliga Best Bet To Win

Bayern Munich (-500) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Even at -500, Bayern Munich is clearly the top choice to win the Bundesliga. They are the class of the league and still have a clear advantage in every area of the pitch.

If you felt compelled to place a bet on Dortmund, Leipzig, or otherwise, placing a “Winner Without Bayern Munich” wager would be in your best interest.

Bundesliga Prop Bets

Top Goal Scorer: Christopher Nkunku (+700) at BetMGM Sportsbook

At +300, Schick is the favorite to win the Golden Boot, with Mané behind him at +350.

Either attacker is a fantastic choice to win the award, but at +700, Nkunku is a massive value after scoring 35 goals last season.

If healthy, Schick poses the most significant threat given his efficiency at Leverkusen, but Mané will have to contend with SergeGnabry at Bayern.

Look for Nkunku to elevate his game this season and be in the hunt to lead the Bundesliga in goals scored.

Bayer Leverkusen: Top 4 Finish (-155) at BetMGM Sportsbook

There is not much value in placing a wager on a Bundesliga winner, nor is there placing a bet on Dortmund or Leipzig to place in the Top 4.

However, there is a decent profit to be had on Leverkusen. The gap between them and the next closest team is larger than the gap between Bayern Munich and Dortmund or Leipzig.

At -155, you are looking at a likely outcome for modest juice.

Borussia Dortmund: Bundesliga Winner Without Bayern Munich (+200) at BetMGM Sportsbook

As mentioned above, there is no value in chasing a straight winner in the Bundesliga because Bayern will win.

This makes a wager on Munich (-500) silly and a bet on anyone else a waste of money.

Instead, place a wager on Borussia Dortmund as the “Winner Without Bayern Munich,” which is essentially a +200 bet for the second-best team to finish second.
