Barcelona La Liga Best Prop Bets & Betting Tips

After a disappointing 2021-2022 season for Barcelona, which consisted of an early exit from the UEFA Champions League and a mid-season firing of their manager, they have spent a lot of money in the summer transfer window to put together a championship-caliber squad.

The two signings that headline Barcelona’s summer are Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, who will make an immediate impact to the team’s offense. Under new manager Xavi Hernández, Barcelona played extremely well toward the end of last season but the point differential was already too large between them and Real Madrid.

Not only have Barcelona improved their offense but have signed new defenders to the backline in Andreas Christensen, Jules Koundé, and potentially César Azpilicueta very soon.

With the improvements up front and on the back line, Barcelona have put themselves in position to reclaim the La Liga throne and contend in this season's Champions League.

Barcelona Betting Lines

All betting odds are updated as of July 27 on BetMGM Sportsbook.

-Win La Liga (+135)

-Finish Top-4 in La Liga (-800)

-Robert Lewandowski: Top Goalscorer in La Liga (+225)

Barcelona will start the season as the second favorites to win La Liga behind the reigning champions Real Madrid. They should be considerably better this season after spending big this summer.

There is no value in betting on Barcelona to finish in the top four because that is almost a given considering how top-heavy La Liga is. After the top three teams - Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid - only Sevilla come close to the talent level before a drastic drop off.

This Barcelona side will be very entertaining to watch this season so let’s dive in on their outlook for the 2022/2023 season.

Barcelona La Liga Outlook 2022-2023

The Barcelona offense will be completely reformed this year with the additions of Lewandowski and Raphinha. Ousmane Dembélé was one of the bright spots for the Barcelona offense last year on the right wing but will either have to move over to the left wing position this season or slide into a more of a midfield role with the arrival of Raphinha.

The left-footed Brazilian will take over on the right wing this season for Barcelona.

Under a Pep Guardiola-style offense both Raphinha and Lewandowski will excel. Lewandowski has already played in a Pep-style offense at Bayern Munich and elevated his game to becoming the best number nine in the world.

When Xavi took over as the manager at Barcelona toward the end of last season, the offense instantly changed and the team looked great down the stretch. They were winning games convincingly and the Over was in play in almost every game they played.

They blew out Real Madrid, 4-0, at the Santiago Bernabéu even though Real Madrid went on to clinch the league title.

With the improved attack and a young midfield group, Barcelona will be a legitimate contender this season for the La Liga crown as well as the Champions League title. They have added depth and talent to their backline as well and we should expect regression from Karim Benzema from last season. With all of that put together, Barcelona should win La Liga this year.

Barcelona Best Futures & Prop Bets

Barcelona: Win La Liga (+135)

This is a great value bet right now. I expect Barcelona to become the betting favorites during the season as they showcase their new attack in league play. Barcelona should win La Liga this year and with the way they have spent in the summer, it is definitely a first place or bust this season.

Back Barcelona to reclaim the La Liga crown this year in what should result in a season with multiple titles for the squad. In a year where there is not a true “superteam” in the world, Barcelona should contend in the Champions League, as well.

Robert Lewandowski Top Goal Scorer in La Liga (+225)

I absolutely love this bet this season and might be my favorite soccer future between all the leagues. Lewandowski won the golden boot in the Bundesliga the last five seasons and six of the last seven with only his now teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang winning the golden boot during the 2016-2017 season when he was at Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski is arguably the best striker in the world and playing in the middle between Raphinha and Dembélé will result in plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net. Benzema will most likely be his only competition in the league, and a 30-goal season from Lewandowski should be enough to win the top goal scorer honor this season.

He is the favorite to win the award this season and rightfully so. Back the new Barcelona forward to take home the award this year.
