Paul Mullin snubbed! Only two Wrexham players make League Two Team of the Year despite promotion success under Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney - while Elliot Lee misses out on Player of the Year gong

Red Dragons striker Mullin is the league's second top scorer with 23 goals while he has also registered five assists in the English fourth tier as his side earned back-to-back promotions with a 6-0 win against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

Despite his exploits, Mullin was left out of the League Two XI of the 2023-24 campaign, with Notts County hero Macaulay Langstaff and Salford's Matt Smith getting the nod up front. Only two Wrexham players - goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and midfielder Elliot Lee - were included in the team.

Lee was also one of the final three nominees for the League Two Player of the Year award, but the 29-year-old, who has scored 16 times and made four assists in 44 league games for Wrexham this term, was overlooked. Instead, it went to Notts County star Jodi Jones, who has made an awesome 23 assists for the team currently sitting 14th in the table.

After ensuring their automatic promotion to League One, Phil Parkinson's Wrexham, who are owned by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will aim to go on to claim the League Two title. However, current leaders Stockport County could claim the crown if they beat Notts County next week.
