Match of the Day! Gary Lineker sparks romance rumours with Leila Bartell – the ‘Slovenian Kate Moss’ who is friends with Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard

Former Tottenham and England striker Lineker has not been publicly spotted with any potential new flame since seeing his second marriage come to an end in 2016. At 63 years of age, he has now been seen dining with Bartell in Notting Hill.

Martell is a former model who was once billed as the ‘Slovenian Kate Moss’. She has previously worked as a television presenter in her homeland, but the 44-year-old is now a visual artist and film director. She has a work studio in west London, close to where she was seen meeting up with Lineker.

Martell is no stranger to the limelight and boasts Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard within her circle of close friends – with the pair having enjoyed a Los Angeles-based Halloween evening out together in back in 2017.

Lineker, who is seeing questions asked of his future as a presenter for the BBC, was married to first wife Michelle Cockayne for 20 years. He tied the knot with Welsh actress and model Danielle Bux in 2009, only for the couple to announce their shock divorce seven years later as Lineker – who has four sons – refused to have any more children.
