  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Walker joined the Rossoneri from Manchester City on loan in January, and as per MailOnline, has now found a new home in Milan. The England international is set to move into a luxury apartment costing £10,000 per week at the end of the month, but he will not be joined in Italy by his wife Annie Kilner and their four children. Walker left City looking for a new challenge and, as there is an option to buy clause in his 18-month loan deal, his time in Milan may extend beyond 2026.

    DID YOU KNOW?

There had been reports that Kilner was being lined up by ITV for a 'fly-on-the-wall' reality show about living with Walker in Milan. However, with Kilner now likely staying in the UK with their children, it is unlikely that will come to fruition.

A source told MailOnline: "Their marriage is still very rocky and while it’s better than before, there are still a lot of things to work out. Kyle’s move was also quite sudden so it’s not that easy for Annie to just relocate with the kids to another country. There are schools to consider and finding a house that is big enough for them all. But that’s still a long way off. For now, Kyle will be in Italy and Annie at their home in the UK and they’ll see how things go."

The source added on how Walker is settling into his new life abroad: "Kyle is loving both life and his football again. He’s like a new man in Milan and has never been happier. Perhaps he’s just relieved to put all his domestic troubles behind him by being out of England. The fact that he wants to live in an apartment probably tells you that he just wants some time on his own."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Walker has had a mixed start to life in Italy. The Englishman drew comparisons to the Milan legend Cafu on his debut against city rivals Inter and looked to have found a new lease of life away from Manchester. However, against Hellas Verona on Saturday he was substituted at half-time after his worst performance yet in a Milan shirt. His replacement, Alex Jimenez, then played a crucial role in the winning goal.

    WHAT NEXT FOR WALKER?

After finding a permanent place to stay, Walker can now fully focus on his football. He will have to be at his best if he is to help Milan progress to the Champions League round of 16. The club have work to do to overturn a 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the first leg of their play-off tie, with the return fixture set to be played at San Siro on Tuesday.
