Gary Lineker edges out Gary Neville & Jamie Carragher on list of highest-paid TV pundits in UK with Match Of The Day star earning more than anyone at BBC

Per The Sun, Lineker earns the most of any UK pundit, with earnings of up to £1.3 million ($1.6m). He has been the presenter of Match of the Day for around 25 years and earns more than any other employee at the BBC.

Behind Lineker are Sky Sports duo Neville and Carragher. The former Manchester United star earns £1.1m ($1.4m), while the Liverpool legend is paid £1m ($1.2m). There is a significant drop before the fourth-placed pundit, Alan Shearer, who earns up to £384,999 ($500,000) per year with his work at the BBC. In fifth place is the BBC's Mark Chapman, who presents Match of the Day 2 on Sunday, and earns up to £264,999 ($344,000).

The top 10 is rounded out by Alex Scott (£224,999/$292,000), Gabby Logan (£210,000/$272,000), Micah Richards (£205,000/$266,000), and Chris Sutton (£194,999/$253,000). Scott, Logan, and Sutton all work for the BBC, while Richards appears with Neville and Carragher on Sky.

There will be plenty more analysis as the Premier League continues to heat up throughout the season. As it stands, there is a title race brewing between leaders Liverpool, second-placed Manchester City and Arsenal in third.
