Alfie May's dream summer continues after transfer to Tom Brady's Birmingham as ex-Charlton striker leads nominees for 2023-24 PFA League One Player of the Year

The 31-year-old English forward, who won the Golden Boot award in League One in the 2023-24 campaign with 23 goals, has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award. May scored 27 times in 50 appearances across all competitions as Charlton finished 16th in the league.

His time with The Addicks lasted for just one season, though, as the attacker has now moved to Birmingham, where NFL legend Tom Brady is an investor. The Blues finished 22nd in the Championship last season and got relegated. Ahead of starting their campaign in the third division, they have bolstered their attack by roping in the top goalscorer of the league from the last campaign.

Along with bagging the top goalscorer's award, May was also named Charlton's Player of the Year and was also included in the EFL League One Team of the Season.

The English striker could play his first competitive match for Birmingham City on August 10 as the club begin their League 2024-25 season journey against Reading.
