Olivier Giroud is preparing for an emotional return to north London this week as Lille take on Arsenal in the Champions League. He has opened up about his difficult decision to leave the club in 2018, revealing that the move was completely necessary to secure his place in the France squad for the World Cup. He also praised the style of play during his time there.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been dealt a double injury blow ahead of their Champions League tie against Lille, losing Piero Hincapié and Martín Zubimendi to unfortunate ankle issues.
