Now that Australia has secured their spot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, it's time to get tickets to support the lads in action.
FIFA have organised ticket sales into two phases - one before the World Cup draw on December 2 (AEDT) and one after.
The first phase allowed fans to go into a ballot for a limited amount of team series tickets and matches for which the contestants were not yet known.
Following the ballot, a first come, first served period followed with left over tickets for the phase made available
But rest assured, the second phase on December 5 is when most of the tickets go on sale and the window of opportunity for Socceroos tickets will be open.

HOW CAN I BUY AUSTRALIA WORLD CUP TICKETS?
The second ticket phase opens on December 5 with a random selection draw - two days after Australia finds out their World Cup group and opponents during the draw on December 2 (AEDT).
Using FIFA's official ticketing service, you can place an order for supporter tickets (ST), conditional supporter tickets (CST), venue specific tickets (VST) or individual matches.
The ST's will allow the supporters of participating teams to purchase a package of tickets that guarantees a seat at all of their country's group stage matches.

CST's can be purchased for knockout matches involving your team all the way up to the final (supporters will be refunded minus a small admin fee if their team doesn't get through to the match they have purchased for).
VST's allow a supporter to attend all the matches at a particular stadium up to the round of 16 (quarter finals, semi finals and final must be purchased separately).
It's important to note that you will have until January 31 to put in your selections for the second ticket phase draw and all applications will be treated randomly meaning it doesn't matter if you submit on the first or last day of the period.
HOW MUCH WILL AUSTRALIAN TICKETS COST?
FIFA has split up ticket prices for the World Cup into four different categories.
Categories one, two and three will be available to fans across the world through the online ticket sales.
Category four is reserved for Russian residents and will consist of at least 350,000 tickets to be sold to local fans.
These tickets will cost less: for comparison, the cheapest category-four ticket is priced at 1280 rubles (AU$28), compared to US$105 (AU$138) for the cheapest from the other three categories.

ST's, CST's and VST's prices will depend on the games in your package and will be a combination of the above prices with a small service fee added.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS OUT IN THE RANDOM SELECTION DRAW?
Australian fans who apply for an ST for the group stage matches are highly likely to be successful judging by sales from previous World Cups.
If you miss out on an any ticket or package during the December - January random selection draw, then it's likely to be sold out.
A first come, first served stage will be opened on March 13 (that closes on April 3) and you may have to apply for a more expensive ticket or package to secure the matches you want.
If you are still unable to secure the ticket you want, you will have to hope a ticket becomes available through FIFA's official resale program in the lead-up to and during the tournament.
All tickets not sold after the phases are complete will go on sale from April 18 and be available until the tournament ends.
Keep in mind if you buy tickets anywhere other than FIFA.com you are risking those tickets either being counterfeit or cancelled by FIFA with no refund.

I HEARD IF I GET A TICKET, IT'S VISA-FREE ENTRY TO RUSSIA
Russia's notorious foreign VISA restrictions have been eased and if you have a ticket to any World Cup match, you will be able to apply for a document called a FAN ID that will allow VISA-free travel for the duration of the tournament.
The document is free and you can apply here (but only if you have a match ticket secured in your name).
