When will the Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns sign new players for the Club World Cup? Fifa reveal the dates

The Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns, will be among the 32 clubs around the globe that will play in the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup.

Masandawana will represent Africa alongside Al Ahly, Esperance, and Wydad Casablanca.

The competition will start from June 14 to July 13.

The Brazilians have been placed in Group F alongside Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, and Ulsan HD.

Teams are needed to have quality players for the competition, explaining why Fifa organized for a special transfer window for the teams to make a few signings.

It is obvious, Sundowns will be keen on strengthening their already impressive squad.

Fifa has now revealed the dates when teams will have new players on board.

“In line with the Regulations for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and the relevant amendments to the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, all 20 Member Associations whose clubs will participate in FIFA’s groundbreaking competition have confirmed the opening of an exceptional registration window from 1 to 10 June for all their affiliated clubs to allow new players signed to compete in the tournament,” the World Football Governing Body confirmed in a statement.

“The deadline for the final player list has been set as 10 June 2025, allowing each participating club to bring any new players signed in this special window to the United States.

“Participating clubs will also be able to replace and add players during a restricted in-competition period from 27 June to 3 July 2025 within a set limit and according to specific limitations, including the fact that a ‘standard’ registration window must be open for the club at the time," Fifa continued.

The objective is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find an appropriate solution to facilitate the players’ participation. This will ensure that the best players will be playing, allowing clubs to add new recruits even during the tournament," they concluded.

The defensive unit has been shaky for Masandawana owing to injuries. On loan defender Lucas Suarez is out of form, explaining why coach Miguel Cardoso might consider strengthening it.

Midfield and attack might also be revamped with better players, as Sundowns hope to make an impact in the competition.

On Saturday, the Brazilians host Pyramids FC in the first leg of the Caf Champions League final.
