    WHAT HAPPENED?

Pitso Mosimane's Esteghlal team settled for a goalless draw against Uzbekistan Super League's Pakhtakor in their AFC Champions League match at Al-Rashid Stadium on Monday.

The team led by the South African coach largely controlled the game, but they were unable to take advantage of the opportunities they had created.

As a result, Esteghlal had to settle for a frustrating draw in their own backyard.
