Tottenham star Son Heung-min's father fined for violating child welfare law at football academy after players are allegedly struck with corner flag and verbally abused
Son Heung-min's father and brother have reportedly been fined for violating child welfare laws at his football academy.
According to the Associated Press, via Washington Times, the Tottenham star's dad, Son Woong-jung, and brother, Heung-yun Son, were fined €2,200 (£1,683) by the Chuncheon District Court for the violation at the Son Football Academy in Chuncheon, South Korea.

The report adds the parents of a young player claim their son was hit by one of the two academy coaches with a corner flag and subjected to verbal abuse. Son's father, who is a director at the academy, has reportedly denied any wrongdoing but offered an apology and promised to evaluate his coaching methods.
