    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Top clubs around the world have been visiting South Africa in search of raw talent to develop.

    Recently, AS Roma scouts were in Mzansi where they visited several teams and subjected some youngsters to trials.

    This has been a massive growth for teams and players since it motivates them to give their best.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Jorge Abong, who is from Roho Soccer Agency, confirmed recently that Gauteng-born midfielder Ikenna Tladi, who is just nine years old, impressed the Italian outfit.

    Another player who impressed is Pitso Mosimane's son Reatlegile, who plays for Chiefs' U14 team.

    Abong has confirmed the attacker might soon be in Italy since his displays impressed the scouts.

    WHAT ABONG SAID

    "Ikenna Tladi has officially signed for AS Roma. We have also organised trials for Rea Mosimane [Kaizer Chiefs U14]," Abong said as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

    "Last month, he did well, and the club is interested in signing him. We have organised for Shamir Mattera from SuperSport United, he is now invited to join the club for pre-season at the end of July.
    "The scouts from Europe were here and they were impressed with Tladi before he traveled to Italy with his mother to finalise the deal. He is now an AS Roma player," he concluded.
