    WHAT HAPPENED?

Inacio Miguel and Thabo Cele are some of the experienced players Kaizer Chiefs signed this season.

The duo has been playing a vital role for the Glamour Boys in the ongoing campaign.

However, they are racing against time to be fit for Sunday's Nedbank Cup semi-final against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Cele has been out of action since his injury against Golden Arrows on March 29, while the Angola international was injured in the match against TS Galaxy.

Have a look at what coach Nasreddine Nabi said after being asked about the two players.

"For Miguel and Thabo Cele, I will answer after [the Sundowns game but currently] it is open," the Amakhosi tactician responded when asked about the readiness of the duo.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

It is obvious from the inconsistencies that Chiefs can't win the Premier Soccer League, which is hotly contested by Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

They also failed in their bid to push for the Carling Knockout, where they crashed out in the quarter-finals after a heavy 4-0 loss against the Brazilians.

The Nedbank Cup is a massive opportunity for the Soweto giants to end their decade-long trophy drought, explaining why Nabi needs Cele and Miguel.

    WHAT NEXT?

This is the fourth meeting for the two teams this season across all competitions.

Amakhosi have lost all the initial three, and this weekend's game is a chance for the Tunisian to avenge the defeats.
