Mihlali Mayambela has been ruled out of the Bafana Bafana squad after sustaining an injury while playing for his Cypriot club Aris Limassol over the weekend. The South African national team, led by coach Hugo Broos, will face Uganda on 15 November 2024 and South Sudan on 19 November 2024 in a pair of crucial AFCON qualifiers that could seal their qualification for the tournament in Morocco next year.

WHAT BROOS SAID?
Broos, in a statement released by the South African Football Association (SAFA), said, “Unfortunately, Mayambela will not join us in camp, and he will be replaced by Devin Titus from Stellenbosch FC.”
The Bafana Bafana team manager Vincent Tseka confirmed the announcement, adding that Titus is en route to join his new teammates in Johannesburg, where the squad assembles on 11 November 2024.
