    Cape Town City 1-0 Polokwane City

    Cape Town City eased their woes with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Polokwane City at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday.

    Thamsanqa Mkhize scored the only goal of the contest 11 minutes into the second half as the Citizens posted their second win of the season in six league games.

    Eric Tinkler's men are now 10th on the table as Rise and Shine remain third although they missed a chance to close in on Mamelodi Sundowns who are just above them.

    Royal AM 2-3 Golden Arrows

    Ryan Moon rose from the bench to strike a quick brace and help Golden Arrows come from behind to seal a 3-2 victory over 1-0-man Royal AM a Golden Arrows at Harry Gwala Stadium in a KwaZulu-Natal Derby.

    Royal AM had raced into the lead courtesy of a Sibusiso Magaqa goal but Ryan Moon scored two goals in quick succession in the 72 and 74th minute to get Arrows in front.

    Thabo Matlaba made it 2-2 with five minutes to go when Royal AM had lost Sera Motebang after the Lesotho international was red-carded.

    In a dramatic end to the match, Zukhile Mkhize then scored an own goal in the 86th minute to hand Abafana Bes'thende three points.

    That saw Arrows jump from the 10th spot on the log to settle on eighth as Royal AM dropped to position 11.

    Chippa United and SuperSport played to an uninspiring 0-0 draw at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

    Sekhukhune United 1-3 TS Galaxy

    TS Galaxy recorded their first victory of the season in convincing fashion by beating Sekhukhune United 3-1 away at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

    Babina Noko defender Tresor Yamba opened the floodgates when he beat his own goalkeeper Ali Badra Sangare for an own goal after 23 minutes.

    Victor Letsoalo then increased TS Galaxy's lead in the 32nd minute before Dzenan Zajmovic sealed victory in the 65th minute to help the visitors end a six-match winless streak.

    Lesedi Kapinga grabbed Babina Noko's consolation goal right at the death.

    It was a crucial win for the Rockets who vacated the basement to sit 13th on the table while Sekhukhune missed an opportunity to go third as they dropped to position seventh.
