    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to Sky Sports, the Hammers are contemplating bringing back Kante to English shores. However, the potential acquisition of the French midfielder is estimated to cost around £20 million ($26m) as his contract with Al-Ittihad runs until 2026. Moreover, the player's substantial wages might pose a challenge for the Premier League outfit.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Kante's final season at Chelsea in 2022/23 was marred by injuries, limiting him to just seven Premier League appearances. However, since his move to Al-Ittihad, he has managed to regain his fitness and form. His performances were strong enough to earn him a spot in France's squad for Euro 2024, where he played a pivotal role, starting all six of Les Bleus' matches before their elimination in the semi-finals.
