    WHAT HAPPENED?

Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the departure of five players to follow Lebohang Maboe and Rivaldo Coetzee out of the club.

Although two of the players, Sipho Mbule and Lucas Suarez, were already widely known to have left the club, Masandawana have confirmed the exit of Sifiso Ngobeni, Thabang Sibanyoni and goalkeeper Sanele Tshabalala.

Left-back Ngobeni spent last season on loan at AmaZulu while Sibanyoni was at Richards Bay and Magesi FC.

    WHAT NEXT FOR SUNDOWNS?

More exits are expected from Sundowns in the upcoming days and that could include players who did not travel to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup like Terrence Mashego and Thapelo Maseko.

That would create space for new signings as the Brazilians are also expected to announce new arrivals as they prepare for next season.
