    WHAT HAPPENED?

Devin Titus scored a brace as Stellenbosch beat AmaZulu 5-0 in a Premier Soccer League match.

The Maroons winger first found the target in the 57th minute before completing his double nine minutes later.

Khomotjo Lekoloane had opened the scoring for Stellenbosch after 34 minutes before a second-half rampage buried Usuthu.

Chumani Butsaka's strike on the hour mark was sandwiched by Titus' brace as Ibraheen Jaabar put the contest beyond the hosts' reach with 10 minutes to go.

Butsaka walked away with the Man of the Match award after scoring and providing an assist.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

On an evening they were on the road for a successive match, it was a show character by Stellenbosch who recovered from last weekend's 5-0 mauling by RS Berkane in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Steve Barker's men also ended a three-match winless streak in the league and Thursday's win helped them move one place up the log to number seven.

Usuthu did not move and remained ninth following their defeat.

Big clubs such as Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates will be keeping tabs on the likes of Titus and Butsaka with Stellies having proved to be a selling club.
