    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Riveiro has confirmed he is leaving at the end of the season.

Despite the recent loss against Sekhukhune United, the Buccaneers have an outside chance of winning the league.

The Glamour Boys are chasing a place in the top eight; they are currently placed ninth with 30 points from 25 games.

The Spaniard knows it will be a tough outing, but insists his men have what it takes to get maximum points and bragging rights.

    WHAT RIVEIRO SAID

“Personally, [the PSL] has changed my life. I am impressed with the league, not only my players. It’s nice to have such talented players. I tell them all the time that they make me happy having to manage such talent," he told the club's media team.

"We are looking for victory. That’s important for us and the fans. We need to get back on track. We understand the responsibility [in the Soweto derby], we are a winning team. This is my last derby at FNB. It’s a special place, not only for me but for the players as well," Riveiro concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

After back-to-back losses against Pyramids and Sekhukhune United in the Caf Champions League and Premier Soccer League, respectively, Riveiro is desperate to bounce back with a high-profile win.

However, his team must step up and show the hunger to beat their old rivals to sustain their slim hopes of winning the title.
