Interest from European club in Mamelodi Sundowns star confirmed as Bafana Bafana international looks to revive career ahead of 2025 AFCON - 'Yes, that's true'

Kobamelo Kodisang made seven Premier Soccer League appearances for Mamelodi Sundowns last season as he found it tough for regular football.

He also featured twice in the Nedbank Cup and played one MTN8 game in what was his debut season at the Brazilians after arriving from Portuguese side Moreirense.

His agent, Mike Makaab, has confirmed that the midfielder is set to be loaned out by Sundowns.

When asked on social media if Kodisang will be loaned out to a club in Portugal, his agent Mike Makaab responded, "Yes."

Reports suggest that the club the midfielder could be loaned out to is Primeira Liga side AVS Futebol SAD.

Makaab went on to confirm to Soccer Laduma, "Yes, that's true. There is interest in the player from a club in Portugal. That I can confirm to you. It's true,"

Kodisang appears not to be much into Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso and staying at Chloorkop could see him continue struggling for game time.

Cardoso's stance on Kodisang was much highlighted when he left the former Wits University from his 2025 FIFA Club World Cup squad.

With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on the horizon, the winger would like to be in an environment that will help him get back to the Bafana Bafana fold.

Masandawana are yet to confirm their new signings although they have announced some departures.

In the next few days, they could announce the loaning out of Kodisang and new acquisitions.
