Of the two, the latter is more impressive with the Sea Robbers having conceded just 14 goals in the Premier Soccer League, a record matched by only Mamelodi Sundowns.

They are the only unbeaten team in the Caf Champions League where they have reached the semi-final

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After winning the MTN8 early in the season, the Soweto giants have been ticking all the right boxes.

The youngsters promoted - like Mohau Nkota and Mbekezeli Mbokazi, have seamlessly fitted in, delivering in high-profile games.

Pirates' spirit is unmatched, and Tapelo Xoki has explained why the Buccaneers are doing well.

  • WHAT XOKI SAID

“We know that in cup competitions, you have to be resilient, and when it's time to suffer, you have to take it and stay strong," he told the media.

"When you get a chance, you punish the opponent, so our team has grown in the last few years.

"You can see even with the youngsters, when they are required to defend, they defend, and we assist one another at all times.

"I don't want to call it dark art, but we're a resilient team that are pushovers," Xoki concluded.
