    WHAT HAPPENED?

Orbit College are among the two teams promoted to the ongoing 2025/26 Premier Soccer League edition; Gavin Hunt's Durban City are the other side.

It has not been a walk in the park for Mswenko Boys, both on and off the pitch.

They are just two points off the bottom after a win and four losses from the five games played.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Recently, head coach Pogiso Makhoye accused the on-loan Orlando Pirates loanee Monnapule Saleng is not giving his best to the team.

Even before the dust settles, another former Bucs striker, Letsie Koapeng, who scored the club's first-ever goal in the Premier Soccer League, has announced his exit.

The 33-year-old did not reveal much, but hinted that the environment is not conducive for him to deliver as expected.

  • WHAT KOAPENG SAID

"Sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones you make for your own peace," he posted.

It’s no secret that things took a bit of an uncomfortable turn for me recently, and after deep reflection, I’ve decided it’s time for me to move on. I’ve always given my absolute best every time I stepped onto the field, and I leave with my head held high, knowing I gave my heart to the badge.

"To those who feel let down, I sincerely apologise, that was never my intention. I just did what I believed was best for me and my family. I wish things could’ve gone differently. I wish we could’ve achieved even more together with more time. But I also believe God has a way of doing things according to His will," Koapeng continued.

"To my teammates — we made history together!! I’ll forever be proud of that FACT and of each one of you. Some of my best football was played here.

"To the coaching and support staff — from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your unwavering belief in me, your guidance, and your constant support have been a pillar in my journey. I am truly grateful for everything you’ve done.

"And to the fans, Moswenko Nation, thank you for the love and support through it all. You’ve made this journey unforgettable, and I’ll forever cherish you.

"Wishing the club nothing but success moving forward. Orbit will always have my support," he concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

From Saleng and Koapeng's cases, it is obvious that there is a massive problem at the club that needs intervention from the management.

If a solution is not found early, the club risks going down after just a season in the PSL.
