Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Clinton Larsen guides Magesi FC to Carling Knockout semi-finals with TS Galaxy win

Magesi FC progressed to the Carling Knockout semi-finals after narrowly beating TS Galaxy 1-0 in the quarter-final clash at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.

Lehlogonolo Mokone scored the only goal of the match in the 44th minute. Dikwena Tsa Meetse led 1-0 at the half-time break.

In the second-half, the hosts put up a good fight as they created several chances, but they couldn't find the back of the net. and ultimately, Magesi emerged as 1-0 winners.

Elvis Chipezeze put in a good effort in goal to help Magesi win the match.

The Zimbabwean goalkeeper made a few crucial saves and he was the hero of the day.

TS Galaxy have only won one match out of the seven matches they have played in all competitions so far this season.

A loss for the Rockets should worry Ramovic as the pressure on him increases after a miserable start to the campaign.

Galaxy will visit Stellenbosch at the Athlone Stadium for a PSL clash on Wednesday, November 6. 

On the other hand, Magesi will face Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout semi-finals this coming weekend.
