    WHAT HAPPENED?

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Haashim Domingo has insisted that he is relishing his stay at Cape Town City after a challenging period in Morocco.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Western Cape side at the beginning of the season after leaving Raja Casablanca, where his time ended prematurely due to a breach of contract by the team.

Domingo expressed that he is currently in a positive state under the management of Eric Tinker at Cape Town City despite the team struggling in 10th position on the PSL log.

    WHAT DOMINGO SAID

"In two years, I have not played as many games as this season. I came here because I needed a place where I would find myself and start enjoying football," Domingo told FARPost

"I have over nine years of staying in Cape Town so the connection with the Mother City has been helpful to me. I spent some time in Morocco and it’s a chapter that I have put behind me.

"In the last two years, I haven’t been able to play as much as I have played here. I can safely say that I am starting to enjoy my game," he added.

"As a player, that is what you want to achieve first before thinking of anything. Thanks to coach Eric [Tinkler], now I can talk about being happy."

    WHAT NEXT?

Tinkler's team will aim to make it two consecutive wins in the league when City face AmaZulu on December 29.
