    WHAT HAPPENED?

Nasreddine Nabi is still navigating his first season as Kaizer Chiefs' head coach, and one position that continues to be unstable is the goalkeeper department.

The Turkish mentor has used Fiacre Ntari, Brandon Peterson, and currently has Bruce Bvuma as the number-one keeper.

Former Amakhosi goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo, who understands the pressure of being a Chiefs keeper, has weighed in on the goalkeeping issues and suggested a solution.

Khuzwayo believes Chiefs should consider bringing in Ricardo Goss from SuperSport United to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks and bring stability to the defence.

    WHAT KHUZWAYO SAID

"At Chiefs there was Itu (Khune) and then me. He knew that if he messed up, I was behind him, I was pushing him! Every good goalkeeper needs a good goalkeeper to compete with him. Chiefs supporters have been lenient in putting pressure on the goalkeepers," Khuzwayo said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel as reported by Soccer Laduma.

"If you remember, there was a goalkeeper called (Kabelo) Metsimetsi, he conceded four goals, it was game over for him in terms of Chiefs. But (now) keepers (at Amakhosi) are given a chance, a chance and a chance and they are not performing as other previous goalkeepers at Chiefs.

"I'd give (Bruce) Bvuma a chance but if you look at Sundowns, there's Ronwen (Williams) doing great, Africa's number one, Pirates, (Sipho) Chaine, doing great, what about Chiefs goalkeepers? SuperSport have (Ricardo) Goss, a good goalkeeper, I'd take him and put him at Chiefs," the former Pirates goalkeeper added.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Nabi needs to find a quick solution to Chiefs' goalkeeping issues.

The three goalkeepers combined have conceded 15 goals in 12 league games.

This is concerning, as Bvuma, Petersen, and Ntwari have all struggled to keep clean sheets, with a total of 15 goals conceded between them in league play.

With Chiefs fighting for higher league positions, finding stability at the back should be a priority.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHIEFS?

Chiefs are set to face Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium, a pivotal clash in their quest for points.

Currently sitting fifth on the log with 18 points, a win could see them close the gap on teams above them.

The match is crucial as Chiefs aim to rebuild confidence after inconsistent performances this season.

Arrows present a challenging opponent who will test their defensive stability.

With fans expecting improvement, Amakhosi must deliver a strong performance to boost their league position.
