    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have been inconsistent in the Premier Soccer League where they have managed two wins, as many losses and a draw.

However, they have been showing hunger and glimpses of brilliance despite the unpredictable run.

The new signings by the club in the most recent transfer window have contributed to the Glamour Boys' hunger on the pitch.

Nevertheless, former coach Muhsin Ertugral has mentioned Inacio Miguel and Gaston Sirino as the two players who have had a massive impact on the team.

    WHAT ERTUGRAL SAID

"The centre-back, Inacio Miguel, he is a very, very good signing, even though he still needs to adapt, but for me, there’s lots of potential and he’s a leader," he told iDiski Times.

"I watched him against Sundowns [in the league], when the ball is in front, he’s always organizing the team. That shows a leader.

"He takes responsibility, and I think he’s quick, technically gifted, and understands the dynamism of the game. That’s a great player for me," Ertugral stated.

"Obviously, there’s Sirino, who is a player that you can’t miss, and I think he’s a big loss for Sundowns and a great win for Kaizer Chiefs.

"He can make things happen. You have the collectiveness, and when you have the collective you always need certain individual players that make things happen for you.

"I had that with Jabu Pule, Thabo Mooki, Shabalala, and Eyong Enoh in my Ajax time," the 65-year-old concluded.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Inacio Miguel has played five out of the six matches for his team across all competitions. The only match he missed was the 2-2 draw against Magesi owing to a one-match suspension that came about due to four yellow cards received.

He has exhibited true leadership at the back which saw him captain the team against SuperSport United in the PSL.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sirino has two goals and four assist in the six appearances for the Soweto Giants.
