    WHAT HAPPENED?

Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has revealed what the Premier Soccer League side must do to beat Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

The former Royal AM defender said the games ahead of the Sea Robbers are crucial and that they demand total concentration and focus.

    WHAT JELE SAID

“That game is very important; actually, the upcoming games for Orlando Pirates are very important,” Jele told iDiski Times.

“The game on the third is important because it can decide if they want the league or they don’t want the league, and in seven days they are playing a cup they need to defend. And it’s very difficult to play a team back-to-back.

“So the next games are crucial for Orlando Pirates, playing back-to-back with Kaizer Chiefs. The mindset needs to be on another level, maybe at 200% or 400% because they will need to concentrate a lot," he added.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Pirates will face Chiefs after two disappointing outings; they were eliminated from the Caf Champions League by Pyramids before falling to Sekhukhune United in the midweek PSL game.

Bucs, despite showing determination in Cairo, were unable to progress in the Champions League after going down 3-2 in the second leg. They surrendered the lead twice as Fiston Mayele-inspired Pyramids fought back to win and progress.

The Sea Robbers' morale was further dealt a blow when Babina Noko defeated them on their own turf on Wednesday. The loss meant that the Soweto giants lost some ground in the PSL title race against Sundowns.

Now, they face their traditional rivals and must be keen to avoid another embarrassment.
