WHAT KOMPANY SAID
"I think my colleague will be able to understand what I'm saying," said Kompany as he addressed the media.
"We always keep a bond with our players and Percy Tau of course. All I can say is I hope he does well in the next few years. He really did well for me so I wish him the best."

Kompany's remarks on Tau come as the South African is struggling at his club Al Ahly.
He has largely been a substitute in the 11 matches he has played in across all competitions this season.
That has seen him lose his Bafana Bafana spot, a huge decline for someone who was vice-captain of the national team.

WHAT NEXT FOR TAU?
With Tau's Al Ahly contract expiring at the end of this season, that might push him to improve his performances to earn a new contract or attract transfer suitors.
