    Mofokeng scores again

Orlando Pirates loanee Tefo Mofokeng has maintained his fine scoring run after finding the back of the net for Mochudi Centre Chiefs against Sua Flamingoes in a Botswana FNB Premiership match on Sunday.

It only took the winger 15 minutes for him to score and give his side an early lead. However, Sua Flamingoes fought back and restored parity in the 40th minute through Mcebisi Moyo.

    Fine run continues

The former Stars of Africa star has now scored four goals in six league games for Mochudi Centre Chiefs this season.

    Learning stage

Pirates loaned Mofokeng to the Botswana outfit in order to get the necessary exposure for his development.

It now looks like it was the best decision for both parties, as Mofokeng is a regular starter for Chiefs. Had he remained at Bucs, he would not have had regular minutes owing to the stiff competition at the Soweto giants and would probably be playing for the junior side.

His performance with Mochudi Centre Chiefs is perhaps raising his profile, making him a prime future player for the Buccaneers.

The Botswana league side acquired the services of Mofokeng after he signed for Bucs' junior side Pele Pele FC, who are competing in the ABC Motsepe League, Gauteng Division.

    Mofokeng to face Chiefs legend

Next for Mochudi Centre Chiefs is a game against Matebele FC on September 26.

Matebele are coached by Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe Letsholonyane.

As Mofokeng is enjoying a good run, the South African legend is enduring a bad run with his club; a 1-0 loss to Tafic FC on Sunday means he has lost three games since his recent appointment.

After six games, Mochudi Centre Chiefs are sixth with 12 points, while Letsholonyane's side dropped to the red zone; they are 15th and have three points from six games.
