Ajax Tanger Overview

There have been plenty of exciting games and stellar individual displays over the last three weeks - but who has stood out the most?

Tottenham Hotspur face an anxious wait over the fitness of Micky van de Ven following an injury scare during the international break. The central defender picked up a hand injury during the Netherlands' recent Nations League victory over Serbia, sparking fears he could miss the upcoming Premier League trip to Old Trafford.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk admitted he struggled to contain his emotions in the dressing room after reaching the historic milestone of 100 international caps for the Netherlands. The veteran defender led his side to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Serbia in Eindhoven, marking a century of appearances for the Oranje in front of his friends and family.

Netherlands manager Xavi Hernandez has expressed his optimism regarding Frenkie de Jong's recovery process as the midfielder nears a competitive return. The Dutch international has been a significant absentee for both club and country following a persistent knee issue that has kept him sidelined since the World Cup.
