Beyonce for Tottenham manager? Spurs fans left bemused over Cowboy Carter concert amid uncertainty over Ange Postecoglou's future

Pop superstar Beyonce has been in north London vowing audiences at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. While Spurs put in several forgettable performances at that venue in 2024-25, the Grammy Award winner ensured that nobody left her concert disappointed.

Spurs fans are, however, baffled as to why so much attention has been given to a musical extravaganza when the football club are yet to get their house in order. Australian coach Postecoglou continues to generate sack rumours despite overseeing a Europa League triumph at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Some fans have joked that the plan may be to pass managerial reins to Beyonce - the wife of rap icon Jay Z. @shropshire_spur said: "Is this our new manager?" @1Magic_Mike added: "Beyonce to replace Big Ange, that’s Levy’s plan…" @HarryBr93704385 went on to say: "Ahhhh, now I see why Daniel hasn't made a decision about Ange. He's too busy."

Among those less than impressed at seeing Spurs divert attention away from football matters was @samletissier, who said: "Please put this cash into the squad." Meanwhile, @muswellhillspur chimed in with: "Football club acting like a cowboy outfit too."

Postecoglou has brought Tottenham’s long wait for major silverware to a close, with that barren run having stretched back to 2008. He still has two years left to run on his contract, but may not get the chance to see that deal out.
