The Brazilians spurned an opportunity to be crowned African champions for the second time in their history.

Mamelodi Sundowns were beaten 2-1 by Pyramids FC in the Caf Champions League final, second leg at the 30 June Stadium on Sunday.

It was a result which saw the Egyptians seal a 3-2 aggregate scoreline to be crowned African champions for the first time in their history.
