Sporting Covilha Overview

Peter Schmeichel has put Manchester United's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday "solely" on Lisandro Martinez's shoulders. The defender was at fault for Morgan Rogers' opener and was then sent off for the foul that gave Cole Palmer a penalty, and the former United goalkeeper is now convinced that Martinez is simply not a suitable player for the club.

Manchester United legend Ashley Cole has raised serious concerns regarding Michael Carrick's future at Old Trafford, suggesting the squad has lost faith in their manager. The Red Devils' dismal form continued on Saturday as they suffered a demoralising 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea, extending their winless streak to nine matches.

A striking statement despite the wave of defeats

Michael Carrick has urged Manchester United to "keep moving forward" after a 2-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday left them in danger of slipping into the relegation zone. United created a flurry of first-half chances but failed to take any, before Morgan Rogers struck after the interval and Lisandro Martinez was sent off for a second yellow card.
