Al-Ahed Overview

Jesse Lingard has been warned by former Manchester United team-mate Anderson that passionate supporters in Brazil will either “love you or hate you”. The ex-England international is now on the books of Corinthians, with a one-time colleague at Old Trafford telling GOAL that fans in South America will go to extreme lengths if their patience is tested.

Brazilian giants Corinthians have made a stunning move in their bid to avoid the drop by appointing Clarence Seedorf as their new head coach. The Dutchman arrives at a time of severe crisis for Timao, who are desperately looking to move away from the relegation zone after enduring an alarming and historic nightmare run of form.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has heavily criticised Hugo Souza following his unconvincing display in Brazil's 1-1 draw against Australia. The 45-year-old labelled the Corinthians custodian's positional awareness "amateur", urging Selecao boss Carlo Ancelotti to overhaul his options between the posts ahead of November's friendlies.

Corinthians prospect Breno Bidon has expressed his disbelief after earning a maiden senior call-up to the Brazil national squad for their international friendlies. The 21-year-old midfielder revealed that training alongside Arsenal star Bruno Guimaraes fulfils a lifelong ambition, citing his compatriot as an influential modern role model.
