Tottenham edged out Arsenal last season in the English Premier League by two points to finish fourth in the table and earn a spot in next year’s Champions League. The upcoming campaign will mark the first time Tottenham will compete in the UCL since the 2019/2020 season. However, they needed to add depth to their squad to contend in all competitions this season.
The team from north London have done a fantastic job this summer by signing Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, and, most recently, Richarlison. All three players will immediately impact the team and fit with manager Antonio Conte’s favored 3-4-3/3-4-1-2 formation. Perisic will slide right into the left-wingback role, while Bissouma will be a crucial part of the team’s midfield.
The £60 million Tottenham paid to acquire Richarlison is the 2nd most expensive transfer in the team’s history. The 25-year-old Brazilian looks to be the future striker for the team and will also play a significant role for Brazil in this fall’s World Cup.

How Richarlison fits with Tottenham
Besides Steven Bergwijn, now with Ajax, Tottenham did not have attacking depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, which would have caused problems amid the additional games and competitions this year. Richarlison now provides the depth the team desperately needs and will get the opportunity to compete for the starting job at left-striker alongside Kane in the lineup.

Richarlison can play either striker or as a central attacking midfielder, but his preferred position is left striker. Coming off of a 23-goal season, Son currently occupies that role and will likely start most games for Tottenham this season.
Antonio Conte will put Richarlison in a spot to succeed at Tottenham and will finally be able to give Kane a rest this season.
Everton after Richarlison’s Departure
Richarlison was the best player on Everton the past couple of seasons, and his departure could be detrimental to the team in the upcoming campaign. Everton narrowly escaped relegation last season by only four points, and without Richarlison, they could be on the wrong side of the bottom three this year.
Richarlison led the team in goals (10), shots (72), and goal involvement (35%) last season and leaves a gaping hole up top for the team going forward.
For the sake of their fans, hopefully, they will make a splash in this summer transfer window to find a viable replacement for Richarlison.

I think this bet is a no-brainer, as Tottenham has improved the most between themselves, Chelsea, and Arsenal in this transfer window.
Chelsea signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City to replace Romelu Lukaku but still has multiple holes on the backline. The club from Stamford Bridge could struggle this season if they cannot fill these vacancies with strong players.
Tottenham could finish second this season, which is a future bet I would also wager on.

Tottenham will be exciting to watch this year, and if they stay healthy, they could challenge for the Premier League title. Antonio Conte’s formation and tactics towards the end of last season proved crucial as they won pivotal games and finished in the top four.
Bissouma is also an excellent signing for the team since he has a running motor and the fitness level to play the full 90 minutes of each game.
