Nations League Betting: England 7/1 to win tournament ahead of Wembley showdown with Croatia

England are the shortest price they have ever been to win the Nations League ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash against Croatia at Wembley.

The Three Lions have been cut to 7/1 (8.0) after Spain lost 3-2 against Croatia, making the match at Wembley a winner-takes-all affair with the victors topping Group A4 and the losers being relegated.

Spain were just 3/1 (4.0) before that loss in Zagreb whilst England were out at 10/1 (11.0), but a stunning result means La Roja can now only make the Finals if there is no winner on Sunday.

After opening at 12/1 (13.0) to lift inaugural Nations League crown, England lost their first group game at home to Spain and drifted to 14/1 (15.0) with Luis Enrique’s men at 7/2 (4.50).

A 0-0 draw in Croatia left England trailing the group leaders by five points already and soon found themselves way out at 20/1 (21.0), but a stunning result in Seville handed the Three Lions a lifeline.

England blitzed Spain with three goals in the first 40 minutes and eventually won 3-2, with an away win priced at 5/1 (6.0) in that match and the correct score all the way out at 40/1 (41.0).

Despite that result, Gareth Southgate’s side were still out at 12/1 (13.0) and needed Croatia to get a result at home to Spain, who still sat comfortably at 3/1 (4.0) prior to kick-off there.

Of course, Zlatko Dalic led his World Cup finalists to a 3-2 victory, avenging their 6-0 humiliation in Elche from September, and La Roja were pushed all the way out at 10/1 (11.0).

Ahead of Sunday’s crucial fixture at Wembley, England are 17/20 (1.85) favourites whilst the draw – which would see Spain qualify – is 13/5 (3.60) and a Croatia victory can be backed at 3/1 (4.0).
