Trophyless Harry Kane savagely trolled by Paddy Power after Champions League semi-final heartache

The England international striker bid farewell to Spurs in the summer of 2023 as he headed to Germany in search of elusive major silverware. Bayern were considered to be as close as it gets to a guarantee of tangible success in European football.

Kane was, however, to suffer a Super Cup defeat to RB Leipzig on his Bayern bow. The Bundesliga giants went on to endure a humbling DFB Pokal defeat to third-tier opposition, while surrendering their domestic crown to undefeated Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern did have the chance to salvage something from the 2023-24 campaign when reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League, but suffered a dramatic defeat at Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid to see their continental dreams dashed. That has led to Paddy Power poking fun at Kane.

Kane – who finished as a runner-up in Carabao Cup and Champions League competition during his time at Spurs – is expected to be back for more with Bayern in 2024-25. He is committed to a long-term contract and plundered 44 goals in what has been a productive campaign on an individual level in Munich.
