Tottenham to decide on Ange Postecoglou! Spurs manager's position still under 'extreme risk' despite ending trophy drought with Europa League win

Per the Telegraph, Spurs are set to decide on Postecoglou's future next week after a remarkable season in which the club finished 17th in the Premier League but won the Europa League in Bilbao, beating Manchester United in the final. Chairman Daniel Levy has been away from the UK since the final, while Postecoglou has been on holiday, and a decision over his future is expected soon, with the report claiming that his position is under extreme risk.

Levy is said to be minded to make changes at Spurs after a season in which they won just 11 games, and lost 22. Their Europa League triumph has rather changed the optics, however, with several players publicly backing the manager, including James Maddison and Cristian Romero.

Spurs are said to be interested in Brentford manager Thomas Frank, as well as Fulham head coach Marco Silva, and Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola. Postecoglou ended a 17-year trophy drought, but it may not be enough to secure his future.

Spurs' first competitive game of the new season will come against newly-crowned Champions League winners PSG. Whether Postecoglou is in the dugout remains to be seen.
