Having officially started his tenure as England’s head coach on January 1, Tuchel is wasting no time as he prepares for his first competitive matches in March. WHAT POSTECOGLOU SAID

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham's manager, weighed in on Tuchel's planned attendance, expressing optimism about the spectacle his team could offer.

"Maybe Thomas just wants to see a good game," he told reporters. "He's heard good things about us, so you never know. Hopefully, we put on a show. I don't think that really factors into players' motivations. I'm pretty sure even if Thomas wasn't there and the players played well he would find out about it. Hopefully, he gets a nice seat and enjoys the spectacle."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

As Tuchel transitions into his first role as a national team coach, he has further bolstered his support team. In addition to assistant coach Anthony Barry, who joined in October, the German tactician has brought in Hilario and James Melbourne from Chelsea, while Nicolas Mayer worked with him at Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
