Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will be buzzing! Paul Mullin recognised for incredible March performances as Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson pays tribute to free-scoring striker

The 29-year-old frontman, who has reached 100 goals in total for the Red Dragons, found the target on seven occasions last month – while also providing two assists. His most eye-catching performance came against Accrington, as he hit an 18-minute hat-trick.

Mullin was also on target against Morecambe and Grimsby, before bagging a brace in a vital 2-0 victory over fellow promotion hopefuls Mansfield. He has found form at just the right time, with Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney being given plenty to shout about.

Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson has told the EFL’s official website of Mullin’s latest award: “We’re really pleased for Mulls winning the EFL Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award, it’s well deserved.”

The man himself added: “I’m really pleased because it was a successful month where we won a lot of games, but from a personal point of view it’s brilliant. The goals I scored helped me hit a personal accolade which was really pleasing and importantly we got up the table at a crucial point in the season.”

Mullin has helped Wrexham up to second place in the League Two table. They have just three games left to take in this season – starting with a home date against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday – and could wrap up automatic promotion this weekend if results go their way.
