The 21-year-old Portuguese defender wishes to have more game time under his belt and also wants to play as a central back more regularly, which is his natural position. Enzo Maresca has primarily used Veiga as a left full-back and in midfield at Stamford Bridge in the 2024-25 campaign. He made only seven Premier League appearances thus far and clocked just 174 minutes on the pitch.
