    WHAT HAPPENED?

The Blues hosted Spurs at Stamford Bridge having won just two of their last seven games in all competitions, however, that did not seem to be the case as Pochettino's men eased to a two-goal victory over their London rivals. They also managed to keep just their second clean sheet in their last 18 games against Ange Postecoglou's free-scoring side, in what was one of their better overall performances this season.

  • WHAT POCHETTINO SAID

Speaking after the match, Pochettino offered an update on his future: "Enough is enough. All managers need time to translate their ideas and philosophy. It's not my decision [if I get time]. I don't know [if I am being judged by the owners].

"It's difficult to see every single week that I am under scrutiny and judgement. It's not my decision whether to be here or not to be here [next season].

"I can't say nothing. What I can say is if after the decision, if we want to match the history of Chelsea it's a lot of work to do. We'll see if we have time to build this way."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Regardless of the performance on the night and the potential of returning to glory, it will be very hard for Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital to forget all the lows that the club has hit this season despite the Argentine manager having had his fair picks during the transfer window last summer, which saw Chelsea break the bank yet again and take their total spend under the new ownership to over £1 billion.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR POCHETTINO?

With his future at the club still unsure, all the Argentine can do is prepare his side as well as possible for their remaining four games of the season in the hope of impressing the Chelsea brass. They will now take on West Ham on Sunday, May 5.
