    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ten Hag has been under pressure after overseeing a disappointing start to the season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has admitted the club are currently not where they want to be but has insisted that sacking Ten Hag is not his call. United will have been boosted by victory over Brentford on Saturday but Ten Hag will know that speculation over his future will continue unless he can dramatically improve both results and performances at Old Trafford.

  • WHAT TEN HAG HAS SAID

Ten Hag spoke about his future after seeing his team beat Brentford. He said: "My focus is only on this. What everyone is writing is coming off my shoulders. I can deal with this. The players only have to think about the team performance, to have the right work ethic, to put everything in that they have. I know they are brilliant players. if you are determined then we will score goals and bring in wins. That's what everyone expects."
