"I'll go to Liverpool and give my all" - Giorgi Mamardashvili reveals he will be at Anfield next season and is happy with a role as Alisson's back-up

The goalkeeper signed for the Reds last summer but headed back to Valencia on a temporary deal for the 2024/25 campaign. However he has revealed that he does not want another short-term move next year and aims to settle in Merseyside.

Mamardashvili told the Geo Team X account: "I’ll go to Liverpool and give my all, just like I did at Valencia. I’ll work hard every single day, training with Alisson will help me."

Alisson is unlikely to relinquish the number one shirt at Anfield next season, meaning Mamardashvili will need to settle for being his back-up. Caoimhin Kelleher is set to leave the club, with a move to Leeds mooted.

Mamardashvili will play his final match for Valencia this weekend as they take on Real Betis, before moving to England.
