    WHAT HAPPENED?

Bellingham was sent off in the 39th minute of the match after he had an exchange of words with referee Jose Luis Munuera. The match official in his report, alleged that the England international told him "f*ck you". The player, however, clarified that he had actually said: "f*ck off". Getting reduced to 10 men even before the break had a huge impact on Los Blancos' performance as Osasuna equalised in the 58th minute through Ante Budimir's penalty strike and held the giants to a 1-1 draw. Kylian Mbappe had earlier broken the deadlock in the 15th minute.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Barcelona boss Flick has shared his opinion on the incident as he accused the Los Blancos star of being disrespectful towards the referee. The German coach also revealed what he usually advises his players to do in regards to on-field confrontations with the match officials.

  • WHAT HANSI FLICK SAID

"When you say this to me, I think it's not nice," Flick told reporters when asked for his opinion on the difference between "f--- you" and "f--- off".

"It's disrespect. For me, it's like that. But I don't have to decide [the punishments]. It's not my thing to decide about this situation. I think, and this is always what I say to my players, why you waste time or energy to speak or discuss with the referee about these decisions? We have one person on the pitch who is allowed to discuss with the ref and this is the captain. We have to accept that."
