The rising star of English football has claimed yet another accolade, this time at the prestigious Laureus World Sports Awards as he won in the World Sports Breakthrough of the Year category. Since his big money transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid last summer, he has quickly established himself as a vital cog in the Madrid midfield and once again emerged as the difference-maker by scoring the winning goal against Barcelona in El Clasico - a match that ended with a thrilling 3-2 victory for Los Blancos.

Bellingham is having an incredible week and after the successes against Manchester City in the Champions League and Barcelona in La Liga, the Laureus award was the icing on the cake. He shared the platform with several global icons and made sure to get snapped with them on the red carpet to make the night even more memorable.

With 21 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions, he has consistently delivered match-winning performances for Real Madrid throughout the season. His remarkable form makes him one of the favourites to win the Ballon d'Or this year.

Looking ahead, Bellingham remains focused on continuing his stellar performances for Real Madrid as he can end his first season in Spain with a La Liga and Champions League double apart from the Spanish Super Cup. He will be back in action against Real Sociedad on Friday before travelling to Germany to take on Harry Kane's Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal on April 30.
