    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wrexham remain without a league win following two games since promotion to the Championship, despite their encouraging performances. Windass could miss up to seven league matches, including a clash with his former club Sheffield Wednesday and recently demoted Leicester City.
  • WHAT PARKINSON SAID

"Josh is going to be out for four to six weeks with his hamstring. Even in the first half hour against West Brom he was really good and obviously down at Southampton," manager Parkinson said.
"Obviously it's a blow because he's been great for us. It is really frustrating for him and for us but it's part and parcel of football and we've got to deal with it.
"With the international break coming up, by the time that's finished he won't be far off."

    WHAT NEXT FOR WINDASS?

Co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny will be hopeful Windass can return within four weeks, depending his recovery, but this is a best-case scenario. As it stands, the Hollywood superstars can only keep their fingers crossed.
