Harry Kane will return to Tottenham! Bayern Munich striker set for career-first back in north London as Bundesliga giants make blockbuster announcement

The two clubs made the date official on Wednesday morning, with the German giants to visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 10, a week before the beginning of the 2024-25 Premier League season and a fortnight before the Bundesliga resumes.

Tickets are sure to sell swiftly for Kane's return after his blockbuster move to Bavaria last summer, as he prepares to line up against Tottenham for the first time in his career. The 30-year-old departed on good terms and has a chance to return as an even bigger hero if he helps his current side to knock Spurs' bitter rivals Arsenal out of their upcoming Champions League quarter-final.

Kane is Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer, having overhauled the legendary Jimmy Greaves in February 2023. His total of 280 goals will take some beating, although Son Heung-min is in pursuit. The South Korean is currently on 159 goals, joint-fifth in the club's all-time scorer charts.

Bayern hope to have Kane back sooner rather than later after an ankle injury forced him to miss both of England's friendlies during the March international window.

The Bundesliga's runaway top-scorer will certainly be looking to be fully up to speed for his first return to north London in the Champions League, against Arsenal in just under two week's time.
